Looking For Counselling?

Finding a counsellor can be a difficult process for many people. There is currently no government regulation of who is qualified to provide counselling and psychotherapy in Ireland.

It is therefore important to enquire about a therapist's training, professional accreditation, and experience. This can be particularly difficult when a person is in crisis or distress and can often be a hit and miss process.

All Member organisations of AACPI have counsellors and psychotherapists that are professionally trained, who work under Codes of Ethics of accrediting professional bodies, and maintain professional liability insurance and supervision.
